of Osprey, FL I started the Club after seeing the ladies in our little community go out lunch on Tuesdays and wondering "why can't the men go out to eat as well?" We meet on alternating Mondays and Tuesdays the second week of each month. this way we give some of the guys who have regular golf or tennis dates on one of the days to attend at least half of the lunches. Since we're in the Florida Sun Coast, south of Sarasota, about half of our members are snowbirds and go north for the summer. However, we usually have about 20 guys during the winter months and about 10 during the summer. We usually go to a different restaurant each month, except that we always go to Hooter's in December (our anniversary month). We make it a point to visit locally owned restaurants and we avoid the chains. We don't have a fixed membership- I just e-mail the guys and tell them where we're going (and calling those who don't have e-mail) and whoever shows up at the gazebo gathering place is welcome. We carpool to the restaurant to save gas and to enjoy each other's company. We've been doing this for about 2 years now and we're having a good time. Willowbend
