Hi, my name is Andy Rocafort, some friends and I formed our ROMEO Club in Ocala, FL. We meet "every morning" for breakfast at the Ocala Winn-Dixie supermarket from 8 a.m. thru 9 a.m. Mon.-Fri., Sat. & Sun. are optional - we try to solve the problems of the world during that hour along with a free cup of coffee. Bagels; donuts; etc. are available at additional charge. We open our membership to On Top of the World residents and members of the surrounding retirement communities and general public. We encourage women also to join us and become active members. Our main goal is to point veterans and retired veterans to government/civic agencies in obtaining their V.A. benefits. Our second goal is to help each other with information to make life more affordable and more comfortable. Unlike other ROMEO clubs who join up with the Red Hat clubs; we all develop good friendships over a cup of coffee every day with no mandatory attendance required. We approved charging dues of $ .25¢ payable only after death. Otherwise, we do not require anything from anyone; just be yourself and friendly. One thing we do appreciate, is that Winn-Dixie allows us to meet each morning at their store and are very supportive of our group. We are over 25 members strong and growing.
